FAST BAK sneakers were launched in 1972 and quickly recognised as a cool brand with their eye-catching double-chevron logo, becoming a staple across the U.S.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
​FAST BAK’s roots are in Oklahoma, where Charles Ross Anthony founded his first C.R. Anthony Department Store. The sneakers were sold exclusively through the chain, which grew under his leadership into one of the largest department store chains in the U.S., with over 325 locations nationwide.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
The brand was inspired by the DC Comics character FASTBAK, a bold and agile New God created in the early 1970s. Known for his super speed, FASTBAK represented freedom and motion, qualities reflected in the sneakers' sleek, dynamic design made for movement.
For a generation, FAST BAK sneakers were the first choice for sports and everyday wear, until the C.R. Anthony Company closed its doors in 1997.
Today, FAST BAK returns as a full lifestyle brand, blending its 1970s style with modern comfort and performance.
